

Born the Son of Darlene Phillips and Randy Arquette in Toppenish, WA member of the Yakama Nation.
Beloved Son, Brother, Uncle. Seahawks fan, Duke University fan Loved being active through life. Football, Baseball, wrestling Break Dancer. Very outgoing & was always laughing a joking with all.
Graduated from Yakama Tribal School in 1990,he worked most of his time in the mountains cutting hop poles, fire wood for Noel Hill and Levi Sutterlict. He was avid fire fighter, hunter, fisherman, and member of Independent Shaker Church.
Always willing to help out. Whether it was being an uncle and babysitting, clearing ditch ways and fields, watching homes for friends & family, he would jump right in without hesitation. Duke, Yaya, respected his family and friends. Took pride being an active community member. He kept everyone’s well being and safety in his heart & soul.
Duke loved being social & visited everyone & anyone, Anytime. Family meant everything. Our mom Darlene was always looked out for. But it was when he could let loose & Spend time with his siblings & family that his laugh and happiness shined so bright. Chuck, Bert, Doll, & Dacie along with nephews & cousins & nieces. Game time, Cribbage and Dominoes were his favorite to end the night, Scrabblel!! BBQ'S. Birthdays, Holidays. Definitely family celebrations. Tons of laughter, jokes, music, story telling! The simple life was all he wanted and needed. Family, Friends, Community, Tribe. Duke was easy going and cared for all. Nobody was a stranger to him.
His heart sank when he was diagnosed with Diabetes. He hated endless routine Doctor Appointments , medical treatments. He chose to ignore it all. He was so stubborn with his life & health towards the end of his life. But his suffering is over. He found peace: He left knowing he was loved & respected by his family always.
Ron Duke Arquette Watianūsh was proceeded in death by our mother Darlene Phillips, father Randy Arquette, brother Charles Gilbert Sweowat Jr, grandparents Amos & Eliza Zack Arquette, Mathew Phillips & Maggie Johnson. He is survived by Brother Robert Arquette, sister Dulcie (late Gary) George Dacier & Levi Stanton and numerous nephews / nieces Aunts, uncles, Cousins, friends,

A viewing/funeral service for Ronald will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Independent Shaker Church, White Swan, WA. Following the viewing/funeral service will be a burial at 12:00 PM at Tecumseh Pumphouse Cemetery, White Swan, WA.
Serving as pallbearers are Kip Richard Ramsey III, Mathew Ramsey, Billy Sweowat, Phabian George, Noel Hill and Levi Stanton.
