Sandra “Sandy” Lee Logsdon was born in Yakima, Washington on May 16, 1947, to Dale and June Logsdon. Sandy was the oldest of three, with two brothers, Tom Logsdon of Redding, CA and Don Logsdon of Yakima, WA. She lived her life rooted in Family, Friends, God and Service. Sadly, January 20, 2026, at the age of 78, she passed on, leaving behind a world that is better for having known her.
Throughout every chapter of her life, she had a constant desire to love life and family with everything she had. And she did it well!!!
Despite 50+ years with MS, her outlook on life never changed – just have fun. Whether it was road trips with grandkids, sewing costumes for church, shopping for just about anything, looking through old photos and telling stories about each one, singing in a choir, or planting pansies, she had a way of always making things fun and of always making people around her feel welcomed and loved.
Sandy was very proud to be a veteran, having served in the United State Marine Corp, primarily in Honolulu, HI (tough gig mom). It was there; she met her future husband and the dream of starting a family began.
More than anything she loved her family. She is survived by her brothers Don (Gloria) Logsdon, Tom (Vicki) Logsdon, children Michael Zook, Randy (Tracy) Zook and Debra (Amet) Fretel and the humans that made her most proud and brought her the most joy - her grandchildren Gavin (Lisa) Upton, Alesha (Cameron) Robertson, Beth (Isaac) Snapp, DeAnna Zook, JaNessa Zook, Devin Zook, Makenna Zook, Trevor Zook, Kira Zook, Lacey Zook, Braden (Tessa) Zook, Milo John, and great-grandchildren Emiliano, RayLynn, Chloe, and Maddison plus many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Sandy was deeply loved and will be remembered by a multitude of relationships she had built over the years at West Valley Church, Divorce Care, Orchard Park Retirement and Landmark Care Center.
She left this world to be with her son Steven Eric Zook, her parents Dale and June Logsdon and numerous aunts and uncles. Her passing was secured in her personal faith that Christ always resided in her and she is now fully in the presence of the Creator for eternity.
Mom, we love you very much and will miss you greatly. Rest in the ultimate peace you have now so rightfully earned.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. with a viewing from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Keith and Keith Funeral Home, 902 West Yakima Avenue, Yakima, Washington, followed by burial at West Hills Memorial Park, 11800 Douglas Rd, Yakima, WA 98908 where stories, laughter, and memories are welcomed —just as Sandy would have wanted.
