

Sarah was born in 1932 in West Moreland, Kansas to Frank and Cecil Berry/Tilton. In her younger days, she lived in Kansas and then at age 12 she moved to Yakima. She was the eldest of four sisters, Bonnie, Frankie, and Trudy.
Sarah married Harold Hunter November 22nd 1950 and they enjoyed 66 years together. They had 3 daughters Denise, Ginger, and Crystal.
With her sisters Sarah loved raising children and she had 7 nephews and 1 niece. While the kids were growing up they enjoyed picnics, boating, and large family holidays. She loved caring for them all in whatever way was needed.
Later Sarah and Harold enjoyed traveling with friends in the logging industry and the Seattle Slew crew. Sarah also shared a very special friendship with her best friend, Loraine Hale. Throughout the years, she and Loraine were like sisters sharing all that life brought to them. Later Sarah’s life become all about spoiling her grandchildren/great grandchildren and boy was she good at it. If you knew Sarah you knew how much she loved to shop, clean, love her family, and laugh. She had a laugh that filled the room.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents and sister Frankie Jewett.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Harold; by sisters Bonnie and Trudy Berry; daughters Denise Gossett, Ginger Mecca, and Crystal/Rob Disotell; grandchildren Michelle/Jeff Stubbs, Angi/Kirk Scott, Jennifer, Nicole, Michael, and Andrew/Andrea Disotell; great grandchildren Logan and Tristan Stubbs, and Elias, Bennett, Amelia, and Elliot Scott.
A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Rainier Memorial Center with burial at West Hills Memorial Park.
