Scott Benoit, 50, beloved father, brother, son, nephew, cousin and friend went to join Jesus on January 8, 2019. It was too soon for those left behind. He is now in the loving, peaceful arms of the Lord.
He was born June 8, 1968 to Marlene Hill and Rodney Benoit in Yakima, Wa. He was educated in Yakima, graduating from JM Perry as an electrician. He worked for MH Electric for the last 10 years. Everyone who knew him knew of his gentle kindness, fierce loyalty, humor, devotion, strong work ethic and stubbornness. He loved camping and fishing, and enjoyed watching football and playing video games. He will be dearly missed by so many people. He now is able to clearly see all the love and support that he had. Scott mastered so many demons in his life, and came out the man we all love. He lost his battle with the ones he couldn’t beat.
There are so many people who loved Scott. He is survived by: his children Zachary and Jacquelyn Benoit of Yakima; his devoted friend and partner Tracie Berger, of Yakima; father Rod Benoit, and mother Marlene Hill, both of Yakima; siblings Lynn (Greg) Kilseimer and Patrick Benoit, both of Yakima; beloved friends Aalyiah Berger and Troy Gosney; nieces Emily Wall (Scott), Amanda Brown (Matt), and Riley Beeghly; nephew Ryan Kilseimer; numerous aunts and uncles, many cousins, and his work family at MH Electric. We are taking comfort in each other and that Scott has now found the peace, love and forgiveness that he was not able to find here on earth.
Goodbye Scott. You will forever be in our hearts and memories. Your wings were ready, but our hearts were not. We will greet you at heaven’s gate.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the mission in his name. Scott was a supporter of helping the homeless and those in need.
We are planning an open house/potluck/memorial/celebration of Scott’s life on Saturday, January 19th starting at 3:00 pm. It will be held in Fellowship Hall at 10200 Summitview Ave.
Family would love to have any memories you have shared with the family in a note. Or any pictures you may have that include Scott.
