When Stan was a young boy they moved to Washington State.

During this time, he was also employed by Cascade fire equipment and then the Terrace Heights sewer district. Stan retired in 1997.
Stan began dating the love of his life, Ann, in 1967. They were married June 7,1969 with Ann's three children by her side. They purchased a home in Terrace Heights and lived there until 1998. They were married nearly 55 years. After both had retired, they traveled a bit, then settled in Newport, Oregon. They loved the coast, and Stan had a real talent for taking some beautiful sunset pictures.
In 2005 they decided to make Winlock, Washington their permanent home, along with their two Schnauzer's, whom they adored. They made long trips to visit their children and grandchildren. They loved traveling in their fifth wheel camper.
