Terry was born in Yakima, WA on July 27, 1944 to Richard and Mary Poe. He passed
away December 30, 2013 at home.
Terry went through the Yakima School system and was graduated from Eisenhower
High School in 1962.
Terry met the love of his life, Barbara Brulotte in 1973 on a sales call with Buren Sheet
Metal. They were married June 26, 1977 at the Chapel of Love in Lake Tahoe, NV.
Barb and Terry welcomed their first son Amos in July of 1978. Their second son Brian
was born February of 1980. Terry cherished Barbara and they were inseparable during
their time together. They, enjoyed each other's company more than anything. He loved
his boys as evidenced after his passing and throughout his life by their personal items
he kept close to him in his office and at home.
Terry went to work for Buren Sheet Metal in the early 60's and after pestering the
owners who needed a new draftsman / young salesperson he was put to the test, he
passed and the owner never did design work again. A few years later he was in full time
sales for the company. He purchased Buren Sheet Metal in 1969 after bidding the
Yakima Airport which the current owners felt was too large for the company to handle.
Buren had two primary divisions, an HVAC and metal fabrication. Terry took the lead of
the HVAC and created a new company. Buren also built premium tree pruning shears
and saws that 40 years later remain of the highest quality.
Five people formed All Seasons in 1974, a year later one left, 10 years later Terry, Karl
Froula .and Don McArthur owned the business. Terry always took great pride with the
Carrier lines going back to the days of Buren Sheet Metal. The company grew and
turned into his extended family. The company has done projects in 7 states, Mexico
and Canada. Terry loved "design build" and working on difficult projects. His favorite
projects were underground tunnels, vaults, mega houses and high end premium
projects. Terry was given a 50 year Carrier HVAC Award for his work with the company.
Terry was very active in his community. He was a long time member of The Yakima
Rotary Club, Yakima Specialties Board, The Yakima Specialties Foundation, The
Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce, New Vision (YCDA), The Association of
General Contractors, The Plan Center, and the Washington State HVACR Association,
Inc. He was a member of 26-A and enjoyed the fellowship and camaraderie of its
members. He was never one to accept recognition well and always felt a selfless act
shouldn't be known by many, it was something personal and private and done because
you cared, not because you were looking for recognition.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Mary Poe and by his wife
Barbara Poe.
Terry is survived by his two sons Amos and his wife Stella Poe and Brian Poe and his
fiancee Sara Nazerni. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Bernice Monahan, Carol
Brulotte and Fran (Pat) de la Forest, nieces Anne de la Forest, Suzie (Avery) de la
