William Bruce Shepherd

He was preceded in death by his wife Marge Shepherd, son Kevin Pritchard and great granddaughter Brittany Bell.

Bill is survived by his children, J. Scott Pritchard and wife Norma of Silverton OR; Krista Toole and husband Ken of Rio Linda CA; Jim Shepherd and his wife Andrea of Shelton WA; Becky Mero and husband Rennie of Sacramento CA; Kathy Webb of Yakima WA; Sherry Byers and husband Bob of Antelope CA. He has 10 grandchildren - Kenya Bell, Katie Espinoza, Gabe Mendez, Shawna Pena, Joe Toole, KC Webb, Joshua Jones, Brittany Stevenson, Katherine Edwards, and Byron Stoltz. He has 12 great grandchildren - Christina, Gracelyn, J, Julia, Jessica, Selena, Tyson, Savannah, Maverick, Laurel, Saige, and Stetson. He has 3 great great grandchildren - Kingston, Kahaleecy, and J.R. (David).

Bill grew up in Yakima. He served in the Marines from 1947 to 1952 during the Korean War where he earned a Purple Heart. After his time in the service, he worked as a bus driver for Greyhound, retiring in 1985. Bill always managed to stay busy leading Boy Scouts, assisting his wife with her ceramics business, driving fruit trucks, and serving with the Lions Club. Bill was an active member of the West Valley Lions Club for over 55 years. He served both the community and the Lions Club until his death.

Visitation will be held on Thursday November 7, 2019 from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Keith and Keith Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at Keith and Keith Funeral Home on November 8 at 1:00p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the NW Lions Club Sight and Hearing Foundation.
