

Born on January 23, 1935 in Calgary, Alberta, Boni was raised in Yakima. She graduated from Yakima High School in 1953.
Boni married Bob Phillips on August 30, 1953 and together they raised their family in Yakima. With her family and friends, Boni enjoyed traveling, sewing, playing bridge, mahjong, golf, and tennis. She also enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
Active in a number of volunteer capacities, Boni served for numerous years as a member of the Leslie Loudon Guild.
Boni is preceded in death by Bob, her husband of 55 years, as well as a son, Mark, and a daughter, Nancy, as well as two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her sons Rob (Terri) of Yakima, and Doug (Dianne) of Eugene, and her daughter Diane Dunn (Jim) of Kennewick. She is also survived by her grandsons Kyle and Kevin Phillips and Trevor Dunn; granddaughters Kailee Dunn and Laura Phillips. She also leaves behind her constant companion “Molly”.
At her request, no formal service will be conducted. A celebration of life event will be scheduled for a future date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Boni’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, or to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospice through Keith and Keith Funeral Home, 902 W. Yakima Ave., Yakima, WA 98902.
The family would like to thank all of Boni’s friends for their care and concern during her battle with COPD, and especially would like to thank Tandra Coons for her loving care.
