

Scarborough- Alecia Ann (Glover) Hamel, 77, of Yarmouth, passed away peacefully at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, on September 12, 2014, in the company of friends and family. The daughter of Arthur and Leona (Garner) Glover, she was born on December 24, 1936 in Thorold Ontario, Canada. Alecia taught at the Baxter Elementary School for 45 years, retiring in 2009. She was a very talented lady who made many friends. She loved to go on trips and socialize with her friends. She enjoyed volunteering at the hospital. She was a member of the Holy Eucharist, Sacred Heart Parish. She is survived by her son Leslie, her grandson Josh and his wife Sarah, four great grandchildren, five nieces and nephews, and her sister Doreen Wigglesworth and her husband Paul.
Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Monday, September 15, 2014 from 5-7 PM at Lindquist Funeral Home, 1 Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth. A Mass of Christian Burial, will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Parish, 326 Main St. Yarmouth. Interment will follow at a later date in Canada. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Alecia’s memory to Hospice of Southern Maine, Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, 180 US Rte 1, Scarborough ME. 04074.
