Arlene Alice Gilmore

Arlene Alice Gilmore, 88, of Harpswell, ME, passed away peacefully at home on January 2, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late John Thomas Gilmore, Jr. for 57 years and daughter of the late Ludger and Esther Dionne.

Arlene attended Rogers Modeling School in Boston. She worked for MIT - Lincoln Labs in Lexington until she married her husband. She was a parishioner at St. Anthony's church in East Falmouth, MA until she moved to Harpswell, ME in 2017. She loved golfing, tennis, dancing, bridge, birding and classic old movies. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was adored by her many nieces and nephews.

Arlene is survived by three children, Susan Gilmore and her husband John Race, of Wareham, MA, John Gilmore and his wife Corinne of Harpswell, ME, Jennifer Thayer of Denver, CO; her brother Paul Dionne and his wife Elia of Springfield, NJ; six grandchildren, Skylar, Christopher, Julia, Ian, Jessica and Jeremy and; 3 great grandchildren, Isla, Jaelyn and Tommen.

Arlene was predeceased by her son Mark, her siblings: Henry, Roger, Richard, Arthur, Shirley, Jacqueline (twin sister) and Marie.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 4, 2022 at 10:30 AM at White Pine Community Church, 94 Cumberland Road, North Yarmouth, ME
