

Falmouth - of Cumberland Foreside passed away Tuesday morning May 4, 2010 at OceanView in Falmouth after a brief illness at the age of 81 with his friends and family at his side. He was the husband of the late Grace Pulsifer.
He is survived by his three sons Gordon A. Pulsifer of Norwell, MA, Philip C. Pulsifer of Waterboro, ME and Harold E. Pulsifer III. Beloved son of the late Beulah Guilford and Harold E. Pulsifer, Sr. Brother to the late Gordon G. Pulsifer of Acton, ME. Grandfather to Brenton E. Pulsifer, Michael B. Pulsifer, of Norwell, MA and Keith L. Pulsifer, David A. Pulsifer and Gregory M. Pulsifer of Yarmouth, ME. Father in law to Annellen Pulsifer.
Harold “Ted” E. Pulsifer was raised in Springvale, ME and at the age of 15 received the Carnegie Medal of Honor for an act of Heroism by saving a 12 year old boy from drowning who had broken through the ice on the Mousam River. He graduated from Bordentown Military Institute in Bordentown, NJ on June 8, 1948. While at Bordentown he won two National Championships on the rifle team. After graduating he attended Bates College and Portland University.
Ted was an entrepreneur who started several successful businesses Teddy’s Travel Lunch, Pulsifer Real Estate and Insurance. In recent years Ted ran a successful Real Estate Management Company in the Portland, ME area. Ted enjoyed hunting and skiing with his sons.
A service will be held at Foreside Community Church located at 340 Foreside Road Falmouth, ME at 10am. on Saturday, May 15, 2010. Arrangements are under the care of Lindquist Funeral Home in Yarmouth ME www.lindquistfuneralhome.com A reception to follow at DiMillo’s located at 25 Long Wharf. Portland.
