Larry Linn Goodine

North Yarmouth, ME- Larry L. Goodine, 81, of North Road in North Yarmouth, passed away on November 19, 2025, following a lengthy illness. He was born in Skowhegan, ME, a son of J. Stuart and Amy Goodine.

He graduated from Skowhegan High School and joined the Air Force where he served during the Vietnam War.

Larry married the love of his life Frances in 1966 on Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, and later they moved to North Yarmouth, ME where they raised their daughters.

He went to work as a diesel mechanic at Hubb’s Engine in Falmouth and retired after more than 30 years as a transmission specialist from Power Products in Portland. He earned many awards over the years for his expertise in Allison Transmissions.

Larry enjoyed hunting, motorcycling and most of all NASCAR. He took many motorcycle trips with his parents and wife traveling throughout Northern Maine and into Canada. He and Frances traveled all over the country visiting as many race tracks as they could.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Frances Goodine of North Yarmouth; daughters, Leisa Doughty and her husband Peter of Raymond, Stephanie Ross and her husband Scott of Standish; grandchildren Alexandria and her husband Adam, Megan, Nicholas, Joshua, Jack and Derek.

A private service will be held in the spring at Calvary Cemetery in Skowhegan.
