Alfreda C. Jakubek

Alfreda c. Jakubek of Yonkers died on Thursday November 5, 2015 at age 71. She was born on April 6, 1944 to Alfred and Jennie (Pucila) Jakubek in Yonkers where she was raised and graduated from St. Casmir’s grade school; Sacred Heart HS and Iona College. Ms. Jakubek worked as a pharmaceutical representative for Boehringer Ingelheim Co. for over 35 years; retiring in 2007. Alfreda was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and also an avid bowler with the Paradise Lanes on Thursday nights. She is survived by her brother Gary Jakubek and 2 nieces Mary Beth (Kocur) Kline, Dawn (Jakubek) Savas and 5 nephews Kenneth Kocur, Gregory, Christopher, Scott and Ronald Jakubek and 13 great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Sally Kocur and her brother Ronald Jakubek. Visiting hours will be in the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in Sacred Heart Church on Monday November 9th at 9:30am. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Mausoleum. Donations may be made to Sacred Heart Church in her memory.
