Anna Kirchner (nee Galuschak) of Yonkers died on Monday, November 5, 2012 at age 77. Born on July 24, 1935 to George and Rose (Telep) Galuschak in Yonkers where she was raised and graduated from Commerce High School. Anna worked as an executive secretary for the Andrus Children’s Home in Hastings. On January, 23, 1955 she married Edward Kirchner in Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, he died in 1989. Mrs. Kirchner is survived by her two children; Susan (Wladimir) Maicovski of Yonkers and Edward Lee (Krista) Kirchner of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida. She is also survived by four grandchildren Vladimir, Julianne, Joseph and Kyra; her brothers Joseph and George Galuschak. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Friday, November 9th at 10:00 a.m. Committal service at Ferncliff Chapel. Donations may be made to the Yonkers Animal Shelter.
