Anthony Basile

Anthony Basile formerly of Yonkers died on Monday February 13, 2012 at age 97. He was born on September 11, 1914 to Frank and Catherine Basile in NYC. His parents subsequently moved to the North East Bronx where they raised their family. On October 30, 1938 he married Rose Fazio at O.L.of Grace Church in the Bronx. Mr. Basile is survived by his 3 daughters, Elaine Kibort (Robert) of New Hyde Park, Paula Urezzio of Waretown and Sandra Basile of Waretown. He is also survived by 2 grandsons Charles (Kim) Kibort of Colorado and Anthony Kibort of New Hyde Park and a great grand daughter Amy. He was predeceased by his wife Rose, his son-in-law Raymond Urezzio; 2 sisters Angie DiCarlo and Rose Panico, 4 brothers Mike, Joe , Lenny and Sal, survived by his brother Pete and his sister Anna DeNardo. He was the original co-owner of Combined Oil Company in the Bronx. Visitation will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Anthony’s Church on Friday February 17th. at 10am. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Donations can be made to your favorite charity.
