Diane M. Labick

Diane was born on August 6, 1946 to John and Mary (Korba) Datchak in Yonkers, NY and was a lifelong resident of Yonkers. Diane was a 1964 graduate of Commerce High School in Yonkers and worked as a legal secretary. On May 1, 1965, Diane married Joseph Labick at St. Michael’s Ukrainian Church in Yonkers, NY. Mr. Labick predeceased her on September 7, 2021. Together they had two sons, Joseph Michael and Christopher John (Jane) Labick. Diane was always a loving Wife, Mother and Nana and dedicated her life to her family. She volunteered as a Den Mother in the Cub Scouts and on the Sacred Heart Home School Association. She loved to listen to music, cook, decorate the house with floral arrangements and seasonal decorations for all different occasions and made every holiday extra special.

She is survived by her sons Joseph Michael Labick and Christopher John (Jane) Labick, her grandchildren Katherine Marie and Julia Rose Labick, cousins Maryann Wylong and Gerard Bielak.

Diane was a very kind, gentle and loving person and will be greatly missed by her family.

Visiting hours for Diane will be held Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, 168 Park Ave, Yonkers, NY 10703. A Mass of Christian burial will occur Friday, October 25, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Monastery Church of the Sacred Heart, 110 Shonnard Pl, Yonkers, NY 10703. An interment will occur Friday, October 25, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Mount Hope Cemetery, 50 Jackson Ave, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY 10706.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made in Diane’s name to The Alzheimer’s Association, The American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
