Francis Humphrey (Brud) of Yonkers died on Thursday April 19, 2012 at age 85. Born on July 23, 1926 to Frank and Helen (Hughes) Humphrey in Yonkers where he was raised and attended St. Mary’s Grade School and Commerce High School. Mr. Humphrey worked in the finance department for Sterling Drugs in New York City. He served his country during World War II as a member of the U.S. Navy. On May 1, 1949, he married Pauline (Polly) Barna in St. Mary’s Church. She died in 1999. He is survived by his brother Edward and two sisters Eileen (Ray) Buckley and Jean Noonan and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his loving companion Jean Finnerty and his cousins, Carol and Lt. Col. Jerry Wiffler. Visiting Hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Sacred Heart Church on Monday April 23rd at 11 AM. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
