

Frank Pappalardo died on October 27, 2013 at age 81. He was born in Yonkers on April 16, 1932 to Salvatore and Carolina (Arduino) Pappalardo. Frank served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. On October 2, 1955 he married Shirley Kane at St. Denis Church in Yonkers. Frank worked at his family owned businesses, Pappy’s Pizza and Square Taxi both in Yonkers and he also worked as a Groundskeeper at the Sprain Lake Golf Course. He was a die hard Yankee fan and enjoyed playing bridge. Besides his wife Shirley he is survived by his children, Salvatore (Eva) Pappalardo, Debra (Joe Barone) Farlese, Francis (Denise Cafarelli) Pappalardo, Donna (Perry) Ortiz, grandchildren, Dana, Jaime, Sal, Nicholas, Vincent, Michelle, Summer, great grandchildren, Nina, Marissa, Gianna, Mya and Christian, he is also survived by his sister Rachel (Phil) Amicucci and loved many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday October 29, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday October 30, 2013 at 11am at Sacred Heart Church.Interment to follow at St. Josephs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to your local Kidney Foundation.
