Hilda Banks Logan, of Yonkers died on Friday March 23, 2012 at age 82. Hilda was born on January 18, 1930 to Payton and Gertrude Stevenson Banks in Yonkers where she was raised and graduated from Commerce HS. She went on to get her nursing degree and worked as a Registered Nurse at St. John’s Hospital for over 25 years. Hilda was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Getty Square, she loved to travel. She was a terrific aunt and godmother and will be missed by all who knew her. Hilda is survived by her son William Logan, a nephew Henry Mitchell and a great nephew Michael A. Mitchell. She was predeceased by her parents as well as a sister Ora L. Mitchell, a nephew Clyde Mitchell and a great nephew Henry A. Mitchell III. Visiting hours will be in the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM. A Funeral Service will be on Thursday 10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
