John D. Smith, a longtime Yonkers resident, died on Wednesday March 14, 2012 at his residence. He was 48 years old. He was born on February 24, 1964 to Donald L. and Joan Beisgen Smith in New Rochelle where he was raised and educated graduating from New Rochelle High School. Mr. Smith was an auto mechanic for the High Tech Mobile Station in Eastchester for a couple of years. Previously, he worked as an auto mechanic at several other service stations in Westchester County. He was a Nascar racing enthusiast. Mr. Smith is survived by his mother, Joan Smith of Bronx, N.Y. and two sisters, Donna Lavacca and her husband Thomas of Yonkers and Cindy Force and her husband Brian of Hackensack, N.J. Visiting Hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday March 17th at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Mt.
