Margaret Bernstein, a long-time resident of White Plains, NY, died on Sunday September 21, 2014 at the Hebrew Home for the Aged in Riverdale, NY. She was born on October 3rd 1942 in Manhattan, Margaret worked as an account representative and assisted people in obtaining Medicaid benefits. She loved animals, especially cats, and was an avid fan of the NY Mets. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer, son-in-law, Michael and granddaughter, Erin. In lieu of flowers the family asks memorial gifts be made to Tenth Life for New York City Cats, 558 Columbus Ave., New York, NY 10024. A memorial service will be held in her memory on Saturday September 27th from 12noon – 2pm at Whalen and Ball Funeral Home.
