Mary J. Doyle

Mary J. Doyle (nee McCabe), a lifelong Yonkers resident, died on Monday November 14, 2016 at Calvary Hospital. She was 82 years old. She was born on January 3, 1934 to James and Catherine Harney McCabe in Yonkers where she was raised and educated. Mrs. Doyle was employed in general service at Leake and Watts Children’s Home in Yonkers for over 35 years until her retirement in 2014 at the age of 80. On October 16, 1955, she married her loving husband, Michael A. Doyle in St. Denis Church in Yonkers. Mr. Doyle died on February 27, 2013. Survivors include three daughters, Cathy Perkins, Christine (Robert) Papale, and Carolyn (Patrick) Camerino, all of Yonkers and a brother James McCabe. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Melissa, Jennifer, Kellie, Matthew, Amanda, Robert, Danielle and Christopher and three great grandchildren, Danny, Tyler and Brianna. She was predeceased by a daughter, Colleen Doyle and also by a sister Katherine Huntley. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday 4-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Anthony’s Church on Friday November 18th at 10am. Cremation will follow at Ferncliff Crematory.
