Michael Bybel Jr.

Michael Bybel, Jr. of Yonkers died on Wednesday July 16, 2014 at age 68; surrounded by family and friends. He was born on August 1, 1945 to Michael and Irene (Gorman) Bybel in Bronxville, NY. He attended local schools and graduated from Gorton HS. Mr. Bybel worked as a Repair Technician for N.Y. Telephone (Verizon) in Yonkers for over 32 years, retiring in 2000. Michael was a U.S. Army Veteran, being stationed in Germany. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Holy Name Society and the Usher Society. He enjoyed his Yankees; watching or attending all their games. He is survived by his brother Frank and several cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Richard who died in 2006. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Sunday from 4-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in Sacred Heart Church on Monday July 21st at 9:30am. Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
