Michael P. Hresko
May 2, 1961 – July 14, 2025
On July 14, 2025 Michael P. Hresko passed away peacefully at his home.
Mike, as we all know him, lived in Yonkers, NY his whole life. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School and studied at Manhattan College. Met his lifelong partner Laura Ann Migliore in 2002 and with the help of his brothers West Highland White Terrier, “The Rox”, secured their relationship from their very first meeting. Special note: She loved the dog first. Laura Ann was the love of his life and their 23 year relationship was a beautiful example of their love and commitment to one another.
While working for the Federal Reserve Bank Headquarters in Manhattan, Mike was a conscientious and meticulous employee. He worked his way up from the Bonds Department to Quality Systems Analyst. He was also a primary asset in the Y2K project for the Federal Reserve Bank. Mike retired from the “FED” with more than 30 years on the job.
Mike was also an animal lover. He loved his “Princess” which was the most obedient pooch I’ve ever met, but later he truly loved his cats. They were his and Laura Ann’s pride and joy. Mike had recently picked up a pair of kittens from the shelter, that didn’t want to be separated, Spooky and Macho would replace their recently lost Baby King and Loki. That was his soft side.
For the hard side lets’ talk about his golf game. There are many golfers from his league that would vouch for his fierce competitiveness and exemplary sportsmanship, both on the course and at the 19th hole, which inevitably made the back nine the toughest. At his best he was around a 7 or 8 handicap. He loved the game and his playing partners more.
Mike was loved by everyone that knew him, his kind and generous soul, his smile and timely wit, made him a joy to be with. He will be missed sincerely but never forgotten.
Mike is survived by his siblings William Hurlman, James Hurlman, Marie Hurlman and John Hurlman.
Rest in peace.
