Peter was born on October 22, 1939 to parents Benno and Gertrude in Stettin, Germany. After immigrating to the United States, Peter and his brothers grew up in Crestwood NY. Peter joined the US Marines Corps in 1959, spending the next 6 years stationed between North Carolina and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
In 1966, Peter married his beloved wife Patricia (née Hayes) and together lived and raised their two children Kirsten and Eric in Yonkers NY.
Peter enjoyed his long, adventurous life with Patricia, his children and numerous friends that were family. He loved nature and the outdoors and tried to spend as much time immersed in it as possible. Peter also loved Music and Dancing. Anywhere he went where there was music or a band playing, you knew it was only a matter of time before he was up on the stage dancing and singing with them. Peter also loved cruises and visiting all the destinations a ship could bring them to. Peter and Patricia went on many cruises over the years, with some of his favorite destinations being Bermuda and Belize visiting the Monkeys.
Anyone who knew Peter could see the love he had for his life and his family. Peter was predeceased by his parents and his brother Cary. Peter is survived by his wife Patricia, his daughter Kirsten Neczesny (Jason), his son Eric, his brother Winfried, and countless friends who have always been family.
