

Raymond was born in the Bronx to Walter A. Mulvaney and Elizabeth Jean (Murphy) Mulvaney at their home by the Doctor on Fort Independence Street. After high school, Raymond joined the US Marine Corps and served in Okinawa, Japan. Upon returning home to the States, he was employed at Phelps Dodge Wire & Cable in Yonkers, NY where he met & married Gail in 1962 and raised 5 children in Yonkers, Elizabeth Jean, Michael, William (Stacey), Raymond (Amy) And Julia Mulvaney. Julia predeceased him in 2022. He is survived by 9 grandchildren, Kelly, Meghan, Victoria Grolli, Melissa, Brian (Carol), Kayla, Christopher, Lia & Robert Mulvaney. He is also survived by his 99 year old sister, Mary, his brothers Walter and Lewis (Butch) Mulvaney and many nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Happy. His sisters, Patricia Wallach, Jane Banta and Ellen Hand, whom he adored, predeceased him but no doubt were there to greet him at Heaven’s gates.
Ray, Raymond, Happy, Dad & PopPop lived life his way, loved Elvis & the NY Yankees, crabbing down the Marina, playing his guitar, his Irish heritage and his family. Rest now Dad, you will be missed.....

A visitation for Raymond will be held Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:01 PM at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home. A prayer service will occur Friday, August 2, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A committal service will occur Friday, August 2, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Gate Of Heaven, 10 W Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY.
