I met Bob in the early 80's while I was doing my fellowship at Columbia- Presbyterian M.C., we became good freinds, he helped me out to find my way in the Big Apple and intreduced me to his freinds. I was invited to his house in the upper west side which was always decorated perfectly with fresh flowers , arts and crafts. He was also known for being an expert in wraping gifts for hollidays and birthdays , always dressed meticulously and elegantly. I don't reside in the U.S. now for many years and we lost contact.  I was planning to visit N.Y. this coming October and decided this week to look him up in the internet and may be to meet again and instead I came across this obituary which left me shocked and so sad, I had to realize I will never be able to speak to him again.... I cherish the time I got to spend with Bob and sending  his family deepest sorrow  and condolences.

We were shocked and very saddened to learn of this bad news.  Although we did not know him very long, we always found him to be a compassionate person and he always had time to listen. Yes, he will be missed.

I first met Robert in 2001 when he took care of my Mom. He was so kind and accommodating. His last Birthday, I put together a beautiful album  with extra pictures of all his friends. His parents should get this memorial of him. I wish I was able to express my condolences. I did not know so was unable to get there. John & I will greatly miss him.

Robert and I worked together for Evercare as NPs.  We both left and went our separate ways.  We reconnected in Centerlight in 2011.  He welcomed me with opened arms.  Robert I will miss you and your phone calls.   May your soul rest in peace!

Loved Robert for his kind soul and wonderful smile, and for the chocolate he always had for me. He was gentle, noble and uplifting. I will cherish his memory.

Robert was our neighbor and he taught everyone in this building what it meant to be a good neighbor.   His selfless kindness will never be forgotten by those who knew him.  May he be at peace and may his loving parents feel the love we all had for Robert.  ~

As I write this, I can still see Robert zooming by my office saying hi Iris! What a genuine, wonderful and caring gentleman. I will miss you! Rest in peace.

We residents here at Beth Abraham Health Services and CenterLight Health Systems in the Bronx, New York have suffered a great loss with the passing of Robert Grabowski.  He was truly a "Mahatma" (great one), dedicated, passionate, uncompromising in the service of LTC Health and Nursing.  He was the living embodi-ment of everything good and right about LTC Healthcare.  Our heartfelt and sincere thoughts and prayers are with Robert's parents and his family and loved ones.

Tom, I am so sorry to hear this sad news. Please know that I am thinking about you and keeping you and your family in my prayers.

I've known Robert a very long time and after several years of not seeing him we reconnected working at CenterLight. What a loving heart and truly a nice guy. My heart breaks for him and his family. I hope he is a peace. My condolences.

Robert was a ray of sunshine for this place He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

I was so lucky to have Robert in my life. Meeting in 1987 he was who helped mold my nursing career. He was more than "just a nurse" and became an excellent Nurse Practitioner- completing a demanding course of study at NYU and followed his heart into caring for the most vulnerable population- geriatric patients.  Robert was extremely well respected by his peers and collaborating MDs.
He was dedicated to family, friends and animals and touched many hearts forever. 
He will be greatly missed by our family and most especially his Goddaughter Katharine.
