Robert Greenwald, born February 20 1937, sadly passed away last Sunday morning, August 3, 2014. He died in the arms of his youngest son, Albie Romano who prayed over him until the last moment of his life. Robert, known by most as “Bobby” or “Bob,” is survived by his loving wife Dorothy, his four children Justin, Gary, Jill, and Albie, and his six grandchildren, Lindsey, Jennifer, Coco, Christina, Mark, and Daniel. Bob, son of the deceased Mr. and Mrs. Harry Greenwald, was born and raised in Yonkers, NY. After graduating from the Yonkers School System, Bob went on to graduate from NYU and NY Law School. Bob was an established attorney who was a member of the Westchester Bar Association. Further, Bob was very involved in politics and the Democratic Party, an active member of Mason and other political organizations, and was the Ward leader of the 1st Ward in Yonkers for many years. Although he was extremely involved with his career and politics, he will be remembered most by his devotion to his family. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who touched the lives of all that were lucky enough to have known him. He was a warm, loving, family man who adored spending time with his loved ones, making those around him laugh with his wonderful sense of humor, and always putting his family before himself. Bob loved traveling the world, watching car racing, and most of all spending time with his soul mate and love of his life, Dorothy. The couple, married 33 years, were best friends that were never apart. To know Bob was to love him, and he will be sadly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, and close friends.
