Born in Yonkers, New York to James Henry Kinnally and Mary Loretta
Ebelt Kinnally, Bob attended Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx and received
a degree in business from Manhattan College. After graduating from Manhattan,
Bob began his career at John Wanamaker as a divisional merchandising manager.
He held management positions in several corporations including the Reuben H.
Donnelley Corporation, the American Management Association, and Yonkers
Contracting Company. He served in the Air National Guard's 137th Fighter
Interceptor Squad from 1958 to 1963. An active community volunteer, Bob was a
member of the Yonkers Junior Chamber of Commerce and the United Way. He
was a co-founder of the Renaissance Project, a drug rehabilitation program, and
served as president of the board of directors of the Yonkers Family Service
Society. The youngest of eleven children, Bob was predeceased by his siblings:
Vera, Celeste Marie, Thomas, John, James, Edward, William, David, Claire (Mrs.
Matthew Smith), and Raymond. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ann Mary O'Brien Kinnally; his daughter, Sheila Kinnally Chu and her husband, Kenny; his son, Rev. Robert M. Kinnally; and a grandson, Robert Joseph "RJ" Chu. He was "Uncle Rob" to more than 150 nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at Whalen and Ball Funeral Home, 168 Park Avenue,
Yonkers on Friday (today) from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Monastery Church of the Sacred Heart, 110 Shonnard Place, Yonkers on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Yonkers. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation to Cardinal Hayes High School, Manhattan College, or the Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital.
