Robert J. Porcello

Robert Joseph Porcello, 71, of Yonkers, NY passed away on September 27, 2025. Born in Yonkers to Anthony and Josephine Aufiero Porcello on March 7, 1954. Robert graduated from Gorton HS in 1973, where he received sports achievements, Westchester All County Football 1972 and Westchester Sports Award of the Week from Con Edison and 2 All City Certificates 1971 & 1972 respectively. He also received awards for the 100 and 220 yard track events.

Robert was an avid sports fan and was praised for his football skills and later admired for his coaching talents. He cooked from the heart and was an enthusiastic gardner and enjoyed planting and tending to friends gardens. Trips to his parents home in Somers brought him great joy. Being an active conversationalist, Robert delighted in booking bus trips for customers to go to Atlantic City and creating football pools for Super Bowl Sunday. He was faithful and passionate about attending Sunday morning mass. Robert adored reading from books to magazines and newspapers. It was always enjoyable to be in Robert's presence. He had a positive personality and a great sense of humor. Robert was employed at the family business "Tony's Luncheonette" from 1972 to 2012. He was a parishioner of Christ the King Church. He is survived by his 3 brothers Gerard Porcello of Yonkers, Joseph of Queens and Anthony Porcello of Ossining, NY. He is also survived by his longtime partner of 28 years Linda DeAlbuquerque. He was predeceased by his parents and several uncles, aunts and cousins. Visiting hours will take place on Sunday October 5th from 2pm to 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday October 6th at 10am in Christ the King Church, 740 N. Broadway, Yonkers. Final disposition is private.
