She was born on January 14, 1931 in El Salvador, Central America to Melida Castillo. Rosa was a high school graduate and worked for the IBEW 1783 as an electrical worker. She married Diamantino Valente on December 1, 1957. He died in 2008. They resided in Yonkers for 51 years. Rosa is survived by her son Manuel Antonio Valente a daughter Maria Emilia Valente, grandchildren Manuel Antonio Valente III (Amanda Valente), Diamantion Valente II, Lacey Fair Giordano and Alexandra Giordano.
