Sharon Tvert (nee Stafford) of Yonkers died on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at age 57. Born on December 23, 1953 to James and Marjorie Mansfield Stafford in New Jersey where she was raised and educated. Mrs. Tvert worked as an elementary education teacher for the Yonkers Board of Education for over twenty years and was currently working at School # 9 at the time of her death. Sharon is survived by her three sons, Steven P., Scott P. and Daniel R. Tvert. She is also survived by her mother Marjorie Stafford; her brother James Stafford; her sister Maureen Stafford; her former husband Stanley Tvert and Quincie her “fourth son” Black Lab. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen and Ball Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 6th at 10:00 a.m. Committal Service Ferncliff Chapel.
