Carla Mae Childs

Carla Childs was born on August 2, 1931, in Arkansas. She was the second of 7 children born to Ted and Bertha Pinkston. She became a radiologic technologist and soon thereafter, moved to Tracy, California, in 1961.

She had a good sense of humor and loved people, making friends anywhere and everywhere - the grocery store, the train station, etc. In her last three years she lived at a skilled nursing facility where she, the nurses and patients had a mutual love for each other.

She is predeceased by 3 siblings: Morene Davis, Carthel Pinkston and Betty Harrell, 1 daughter, Karen Murphy and 1 granddaughter, Regina Valentine. She is survived by 3 siblings: Bertha Cooper, Lacene Cummings and Gail Heird, 3 children, David Mulldune, Beverly Hettervik, and Philip Childs, 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild.

She died quietly and peacefully on April 22, 2023, and will be dearly missed.
