Marie C. (Kerchner) Fair, 84, entered into rest on Friday February 23, 2018 at her home. She was the wife of the late John M. Fair, Jr. with whom she had been married to for 56 years.

She was born July 29, 1933 in York, the daughter of the late Oscar and Evelyn (Weaver) Kerchner.

Marie was a 1952 graduate of York Catholic. She was the co-owner of Fair Seafood with her husband. She was a member of St. Joseph Church and volunteered with the Meals on Wheels Program.

A viewing will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the John W. Keffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 902 Mt. Rose Ave., York, and 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Church, 2935 Kingston Rd., York. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 with the Rev. Stephen Zeigler officiating. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.

Marie is survived by five children, Kathy Glatfelter and husband, Richard, John M. Fair lll and wife, Sherry, Susan Hagarman and husband, Jack, Barbara Altland and husband, Blake, Nancy Stitley and husband, John; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, William Kerchner; and sister, Jane Dennis.

Marie's kindness, spirit, and generosity were apparent to all who knew her.
