

York - Matthew E. Clancy, 30, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at his home. He was the husband of Emily (Leas) Clancy whom he married seven years ago on June 5, 2010.
Matthew was born March 29, 1988, in York and was the son of Michael Clancy of Manchester and Nicola (Vernon) Clancy of Manchester.
He graduated from Northeastern High School in Manchester in 2006. He also graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College, Wellspan Paramedic School, and Baltimore County Fire Academy. He was a member of Eagle Fire Company in Mount Wolf, Union Fire Company in Manchester, West York Ambulance, York Regional EMS, and Starview United Church of Christ in (Starview) Mount Wolf. He was employed as a Baltimore County Paramedic.
In addition to his wife and parents, Matthew is survived by two daughters, Ryleigh and Adalyn, both at home; two brothers, Chad Clancy and Evan Clancy, both of Mount Wolf; maternal grandfather, Edward Vernon of York; and paternal grandmother, Doris Clancy of Manchester.
His funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Monday, April 9, 2018, at Starview United Church of Christ, 4886 N. Sherman Street, Extd., Mount Wolf. Viewings will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, April 8, 2018, and Monday from 12 to 1 p.m., both at the church. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Officiating at the service will be his pastor Reverend Laura Bair. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to, Wanda Salisbury Trustee for the Clancy Family Trust, 2504 Keeney Drive, York, PA. 17403. The trust was established for the benefit of Ryleigh and Adalyn.
