Deanna D. Thompson, mother to Wayne Kuban, Bryan Kuban and Cheryl O'Connor, passed away on October 27, 2023. Her final moments were spent peacefully in her home in Glendale, AZ, surrounded by her family.
She was born in El Paso, TX and moved to Phoenix as a child with her parents Katherine and Harry Stobbe. Deanna was part of the first graduating class at Carl Hayden High School. She loved living in the desert and enjoyed spending time outdoors.
Deanna owned a local watering hole, Skippers Lounge, for many years. She retired from the state after working as an office manager for both the DES and the animal shelter. She had a strong work ethic and was proud that she passed that on to all three of her children.
She is survived by her brother Harry Stobbe, her three children, her 6 grandchildren Kyle Fyfe, Sean Clarke, Desiree Alongi, Taylor Coombs, Chloe Clarke and Nathan Kuban, her three great- grandchildren Kage, Leo and Charlie and her beloved dog Daisy.
A private memorial will be held at Orchard Pointe Arrowhead on November 19, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
