March 27, 1957 - April 12, 2023
Douglas passed unexpectedly, but peacefully in his home in Sun City, Arizona where he had relocated less than a year ago to be near his sister Pamela Hofmann.
Survived by his son James Douglas also of Arizona and his son Nicholas James (Ajlan) and his adoring grandsons Nixon 7 and Kayson 3, of Lufkin, Texas. Also, sister Janina Marlene of The Colony, Texas, big brother William 'Greg' (Kim) of Bentonville, Arkansas and adored sister Pamela Alice Hofmann (Carey) of Sun City, Arizona. Also 11 nieces/nephews and 21 great nieces/nephews.
Doug is predeceased by his parents William Jennings (1988) and mother, Theresa Agnes (Cavendar) in 2000, both Ohio natives.
Doug began working very young and hustling in sales, eventually working in Cryogenics and owning his own firm 'Consulting Plus'. He traveled international which added to his arsenal of stories to tell, but said his "Bucket List" was fulfilled. Doug enjoyed hanging with James and finding new restaurants, cooking, going to the casino and massive movie and series binging. He loved his Harley and mostly enjoyed taking long rides with Greg and Jan. He took Pammie shopping frequently (because he had an 'eye') and often his bud Carey would join them after and James served up cocktails and his latest cooked goodies while they all kicked back and - yes did movie marathons.
Disco Doug will be most remembered for his magnetic personality, quick wit, never ending 'colorful' stories and a 'variety' of jokes.
The love and laughter he generated will live in our hearts forever.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.AdvantageGoldenDoor.com for the Van Fossan family.
