Elizabeth “Betty” Ginn Peek age 93, died peacefully in her sleep on April 24, 2013, in Sun City, AZ. She joined her loving husband of 61 years “Herman Peek” who died September 16, 2010. Surviving sons are David Peek of St. Louis, MO and Sumner Peek of Edwardsville, IL. She graduated from Ball State University and the American Conservatory of Music of Chicago. A resident of Edwardsville from 1951-1986, Mrs. Peek lovingly taught piano lessons to many students for over 40 years. She also played viola in several community orchestras in the St. Louis area. Recently she performed as a member of the Sun City Symphony, Sun City Concert Band, Piano Club, and Sun City Chamber Orchestra. In her later years, Mrs. Peek continued to play piano recitals, always reaching for new accomplishments with beautiful music.
