Elizabeth Diann Reece

Elizabeth Diann Reece won her battle with brain cancer on 5/30/2015; her loving husband and parents were with her. She went peacefully in her sleep at home as she wished and moved to her new home with her Savior. Diann was born 10/3/1970 to Michael and Betty (White) Shepherd in Flagstaff, Arizona and came home in the first snowfall of the year. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Daniel Reece, Jr.; children, James (Lindsay) Oliver, Jessie Reece, Orlando Reece, Tucker Reece, and Keana Reece; “adopted” daughter Hilary Guinn; her mother and father; a brother Keith (Allison) Shepherd; 4+ grandchildren; a niece, a nephew and a host of friends and other family members. Always determined to beat her cancer Diann was a fighter to the end surviving terminal brain cancer for over 23 years. She remained stubborn, cheerful, gracious, and optimistic. Becoming a grandmother was one of her greatest joys because she had to beat the odds to stay alive that long; something thought impossible when she received her diagnosis. Diann’s memorial service will be Sunday, June 7, at 3:00 p.m., at Vineyard Church North Phoenix High School Auditorium, 6250 W. Peoria Avenue, Glendale, Arizona 85302.
