Janis Marie Rigney

Janis Marie Rigney, age 86, of Sun City West, Arizona passed away on February 25, 2023. Janis leaves behind nephew Michael Rigney (Angie), nieces Mary Lee Johnson (Kevin) and Maureen Denice Harrison (Meredith) and several great nieces and nephews. They were fortunate to be a part of her circle and her cleverness and humor will be missed.

Janis was born on October 31, 1936 to Fred L. and Gladys Green Rigney (deceased) in Los Angeles, California. She grew up with a brother, Jack Rigney (deceased) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where she was raised and graduated from Northeast Highschool. Following her graduation, Janis began a successful career In Oklahoma City with the Doric Corporation and Portland General Electric in Portland, Oregon as a corporate secretary and officer. She was affiliated with the American Society of Corporate Secretaries, National Investor Relations Institute, and Executive Women International.

Janis had many long-time friends going back 50 to 70 years with whom she lived a joyful life to the fullest. Their words: kind, caring, giving of herself, great sense of humor, hard- working, honest, kindred spirit, mentor, intelligent, great model of leadership, loved, respected, professional, smart, classy lady, loyal and gives great parties! She will be greatly missed by all.
