It's so hard to believe you have been gone 4 years! I miss you and think of you every day.  You blessed me with my beautiful home and I see you working here and making it perfect!

Jerry had the best “old” Ford around! And boy did he prove it when he pulled my trailer out of the mud when my newer Ford wouldn’t budge it. The beaming smile he had afterwards was priceless! He also had the best camping games. He had his grandkids and all of the kiddos at camp snipe hunting! The giggles that were had I can still hear. He truly was the man who gave his all whether they were family, friends or friends of friends. He left a little piece of himself with us all. Love to Robyn and family! XOXO

My heart is so sad! Jerry always made me feel special; the way his excited smile grew on his face when he saw you and always a really warm hug. He was one of my fav “dads” in high school. All my love and prayers of condolences to his family and kids. We will see you again sir! I love you Jerry 😢🤍

Jerry’s Celebration of Life will be July 31,  at the Fire House Event Center from 2-6 

I moved to across town to Glendale when I was 11 and didn't know anyone in a subdivision with only 3 houses completed. My Dad assured me a co worker was moving in up the street when his house was completed and he had 6 kids with a couple close to my age. Jerry, Robin and the rest of the Russell/Wood clan would soon become like second family. I spent more time at their house, eating their food, and drinking Jerry's beer than I did at my own home throughout high school. They became mom and dad #2. Jerry loved to help everyone. He built my parents house and helped remodel it. He helped me remodel one of my own homes, and we worked together on several other homes throughout our 28 years of friendship. He taught me so much. The best times were spent in Mexico, the Meadow off Shnebly, and at TGI Fridays on a Friday night where he would rack up a  tip to cover my months rent. He always took care of his own, and treated me like one as well. I will miss him just as much.  See you on the other side.

Jerry always took care of us single women on our Rocky Point trips. So much Fun with everyone. Robin you have a great group of friends for support! I might not be the best drawer playing the one game but I sure know what Friendship and Love is. You will be so missed and forever Loved. 

My kids  met Jerry and Robin’s kids in early high school years. When my kids would come home from hanging out w the Russell’s, at dinner time , all they would talk about is these people named Jerry and Robin! Jerry Robin Jerry Robin!  and that’s all I heard about!  Finally  I said I need to meet these people that you’re hanging out with! We became instant friends and I will forever Miss Jerry and will continue memories with Robin!
 Losing A Best Friend is not easy! 
Jerry meant the world to me and we had so many good times, first cruise together, camping, Mexico, cabin memories  and wish we could make so many more! He was taken way to soon! 
“I’ll See you Soon Jerry, and if I don’t get there soon, just Wait a little longer he ALWAYS Said!!”🌈

I met Jerry and Robin when Robin and I were coworkers years ago. They treated me like family and I went everywhere with them. Jerry always had a joke, a laugh, a hug and I always loved when he asked for a kiss on the cheek and planted one on your lips to make us all laugh.  He was an amazing friend, the kind that you could tell anything to.
He loved his family more than ANYTHING.
The world will not be the same without you.  I’m a better person for having known you sweet friend!

My son was in college and he was offered a job with DR Horton.  Jerry was  instrumental in helping my son up the ladder, and proved me wrong that you could make a decent living without a college education.  
When my husband passed away Jerry was there to help in any way he could, and I know that he was always there with a listening ear and helping hand for my son.  When I moved out of my home, Jerry and Sammy showed up and helped me move into my home in the middle of July.  He and Sammy didn't complain and had smiles on their faces the entire time.  
I will be forever grateful that Jerry came into our lives and was there without ever being asked to help.  He was a great man!!!  You will be missed Jerry and thank you for the wonderful kindness that you always showed our family in our darkest hours!!!  Love you and am praying for your family.

I met Jerry and Robin when their son and my son were on the same little league team.  We became fast friends and soon went on our first of many family camping trips for the next 20 years or so. He meant so much to me and my family and I could never repay him for all the good memories we made together.  He  always had a big smile and made you feel comfortable around him. There was never anyone I could introduce to him that he didn’t already know I swear. He was the kind of guy who would give the shirt off his back if you needed one.  I will miss him forever and talk of him often. He made a big impact in my life and I’m glad and fortunate to call him my friend.  R.I. P. Jerry you truly will be missed.  I love you big guy,  

Tammy & David bought a fixer upper house in sun city to move into! Jerry said he could do what we wanted. Mind you Tammy works as a commercial animal hospital contractor! Jerry & Tammy built out our house together! His touch is everywhere in our beautiful home! Two great builders minds! Minus one! Thanks again Jerry!!!’

This is such a tremendous loss that it’s difficult to comprehend and accept. 

One of my first memories of Jerry was camping over Labor Day at the Meadow, roughly 11 years ago. Both Jerry and Robin welcomed us with open arms (as they do everyone ) and it was not long before my oldest daughter (then 2yrs old) lovingly referred to him as “Papa Yerry ”.  Jerry was like another Dad to so many of us and he treated all of our kids like his own grandchildren.  I’m so grateful to have so many memories that include him and that he shared his most perfect, meadow spot with all of us. There’s honestly not a camping trip (meadow or otherwise) that I can think of where he wasn’t there with us, enjoying his chili and gingerbread ;), taking the kids for rides on the Ranger ... endless memories. 
We will always feel this void in our lives. We love you. Rest in paradise, Pops! ♥️


So many wonderful memories of Jerry. An amazing man that truly loved his family and friends. 
I had the pleasure of sharing a grandchild with Jerry & Robin, a pit bull named Spike. Jerry probably didn’t share my enthusiasm and love for Spike but Jerry was always willing to make room for Spike to ride in the off-road vehicle, or help set Spike’s tent up at the campsite.
I’m going to truly miss this man that on the outside was a rough & tough outdoorsy guy with a heart of gold.

Uncle Jerry was an absolute gem to society. I learned so much from this man and have nothing but great memories with him. Love him so much and will be deeply missed. My best memory and I think his of me as well was our first camping trip in Roosevelt Lake. I had caught a lizard there and he told me to use it as bait. So I listened. I threw it on the hook, casted it out on the lake and sat n wait. Was told dinner was ready up the hill so made my trek up the hill to load up a plate. Next thing you know Jerry is yelling at me, you got a bite!! I hobbled down the sharp edgy rocks one footed in a sandal with I think a hot dog in hand. Reeled in the biggest catfish my eyes had ever seen… from then on we were fishing buddies for life. So many lessons learned on the lake with this man. And multiple one liners. Love you so much Jerry. RIP!!!!
