Residing in Surprise, AZ, Ann Webb, age 68, passed away in her sleep and is now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! She was a tireless woman of faith who loved her husband, Dave, in the most perfect way, loved her children and guided them through life from the day they were born, and loved her grandkids beyond measure. She spent the vast majority of her life serving the Lord and serving others!
Ann was survived by her husband of 45 years, Dave, her two sons, Andy and Tom, her daughters-in-law, Jessica and Jaclyn, and her five grandkids, Max, Elisabeth, Maverick, Ariel, and Raelynn. Ann left behind two sisters, Pam and Sarah, and three brothers, Jim, Gordon, and Dwight. Ann’s parents, James and Margie Parham, are already with the Lord, and she is rejoicing with them at this very moment!
Ann was born in Painesville, Ohio, on November 10, 1956, to Margie and James Parham. She grew up in Eastlake, Ohio. She met Dave in Willowick, Ohio, at Erieside Church on the Blvd.
Ann committed herself to the Lord even further by joining a group at her church. Coincidentally, Dave was doing the same thing in his life, and they both showed up for a church visitation group, and no one was there! Not even the leaders! After two weeks of this, they decided to start dating.
On their first date, Ann promptly beat Dave by sinking 21 points in a row in the famous basketball game “21,” never giving Dave a chance to shoot. She then proceeded to beat him in bowling, two out of three games, and at that moment, I think she had Dave’s heart locked up.
They eventually married in 1979. Two weeks after their marriage, they moved to Lynchburg, Virginia, so Dave could attend Liberty Baptist College to become a youth pastor.
At that very college, they would meet their lifelong friends, the Bovens. Ann fell in love with Geraldine, and they have been best friends ever since. Little did they know a couple of decades later, their children would marry, and the families would be intertwined forever.
Ann spent most of her years alongside her husband, Dave, ministering to the youth in the churches they attended. Often, they had jobs on the side to help keep the family fed while they served under part-time positions at churches who didn’t have the funding for full-time jobs and certainly put in their hours!
Andy was born in Virginia right before they moved to Arizona to start ministering to the people in the valley. Three years later, Tom was born in Arizona, and the family was full! They spent nine years total in Arizona before moving back to Tennessee for nine years, at which time Ann got to be around so many of her Parham & Randolff family relatives!
After nine years of living in Tennessee, the Lord called our family back out to Arizona, and we have been here since 2001! For the 23 years our family has been here, Dave and Ann continued serving the Lord at numerous churches, and what greater accomplishment is there in life than that of giving your heart and soul to the Lord’s people and those in need!
Ann enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially the last 10 years as all of the grandkids were born in that timeframe. Her deeply committed love and desire to show love to her grandchildren was inspiring! She was giving every ounce of energy that she had to love these kids and put her heart and soul into being a part of their lives. Often the kids would be at her place two or three times a week despite Dave’s need for quiet time, yet she still brought them over whenever she could!
From setting up movie nights, craft nights, bubbles and story time to splashing water in the sprinklers in the backyard, bath time, and having sleepovers… grandma‘s place was the ultimate place for all of her grandkids. The number one thing that the Grandkids wanted to do as often as possible was go to grandma‘s house!
Ann Webb truly loved her family in a way that no one can replace. Her presence was felt throughout the world as she made connections with everyone she met and left lasting memories in our hearts and lives!
Ann grew up in a Christian home surrounded by a wonderful family and stayed in that blessed scenario her entire life. Ann was blessed to be surrounded by her children and grandchildren from the moment they were born until her passing!
Dave and Ann had a marriage that was God-honoring and Christ-centered! The love they shared was immeasurable and unconditional! Committing their lives to each other and becoming one was something they did not take lightly. The constant pursuit to be a better spouse and better parent was more than any person could ask for in this world.
It’s been said that no two sons on Earth have had a better mother in the history of the world, and nobody has disproven that statement yet. Having parents who gave everything they had to serve their family and friends, and try to reach lost souls of the world was one of the greatest blessings and examples that any child could ever have.
Over the years, they took on important roles in many people‘s lives, helping them through hard times, deaths, marital struggles, financial struggles, and anything you can imagine. Dave & Ann helped people get through life!
Ann was an absolutely selfless woman. She spent every minute thinking about others. Lots of time went into taking care of her husband and his daily needs. Some say the kids never left the house even though they were gone as Dave benefited from the blessings of daily meals, laundry, and budgeting skills from his loving wife. She poured her heart into her family and friends, and at a moment’s notice, she would be there for anything!
Her last few years were spent traveling a little more than usual with her family and grandkids. She got to see her family in Tennessee, head to Florida to enjoy the beach, visit her friends and family and best friend Michelle in Ohio, travel to see her favorite Christmas concert at the Grand Ole Opry, visit the Bahamas on the largest cruise ship in the world, and camp in the woods!
While her ability to do activities decreased due to a weakening heart in the last couple of years, her soul strengthened even more as she gave all her energy every day to us! Even in her last days, she was blessed to see them for one last time on sunday at her all-day hangout/sleepover for the Grandkids. She happened to be awake the morning of her passing much earlier than she’s ever been to give her Dave his last two goodbye kisses, a total blessing from God.
In closing, I believe Ann would want every single person reading this to see her again someday in heaven. The Bible tells us exactly how to achieve this, and there are people all around willing to help you go down that path. Try searching the Romans Road to salvation and get a wonderful collection of verses explaining the love of Christ and what he’s done for us. Ann loved others selflessly, and we will always love her in the deepest possible way.
Ann was our wife, our mommy, our sister, our grandma, our best friend, and our sister in Christ! Until we see you again… We love you always 🩷
The celebration of life for Ann will be held Monday, March 24, 2025, at 10 a.m. Arizona time at CCV Avondale campus. The address is 1565 N 113th Ave, Avondale, AZ 85392. Business casual attire is recommended.
Friends and family are encouraged to stick around after the service and share memories and fill out some memory cards for our family to read later. We will have some food available and would love to hear your memories and stories!
People who are looking to bless Dave and show their support are asked to do so by praying for the family and, in lieu of flowers or gifts, if you feel led, there is a “no-fee” donation site set up to cover Ann’s remaining debts in this world to alleviate pressure for her surviving husband, and it can be found on social media.
Thank you all for loving of our beloved Ann Webb!!!
