Lee enjoyed people and loved to cook as well as having people over the house. He loved horseshoes, listening to jazz as well as his listening to his Beatnik music called Moondog. All he had to say was let me let you listen to Moondog and everyone made a excuse not to. He enjoyed helping others who needed it and loved at Christmas time buying a lot of Angels off trees so children could get gifts who didn’t receive any so he made sure buying a lot they would get something under their tree. Lee loved his faithful dog Harley who is searching the home looking for him. In the 1960s he traveled the world a lot.
Lee loved his LDS Church and the people who would come over and read the bible to him as well as the missionarys whom he looked forward to coming over. They helped him acting out the parts in the bible if he couldn’t understand. That was Sister Boren and Sister Kerby.
Lee retired from the Daily News Sun in Sun City Arizona where he worked as a maintance man as well as the mailroom and was a all around guy. He met a lot of great friends there. He also worked at the Sun City Recreation Center Mountain View and worked for Hack and the guys there were Harry, Leonard, Bill, and Tommy.
Lee was one of the early Hells Angels from the Oakland California Chapter. He was very proud of his 7th Great Grandfather was Samuel Boone who was married to Sarah Day. Samuel was Daniel Boone the Pioneer brother. Lee was cousins with Pat Boone the singer, Actor Richard Allen Boone, Actor Noel Beery, Actor Wallace Beery, and John Barrymoore. Lee and his friends got very small roles in movies from this cousins he liked to talk about. He enjoyed partying with actor Errol Leslie Flynn on a lot of yachts and boats and at Errol home. Lee loved football, as his teams were the Oakland Raiders which he was sad they moved to Vegas now. And the Arizona Cardinals which we were 5 years seasonal Ticket Holders to which were great seats. Lee will be missed by everyone whom came in contact with him including at the now torn down Hurry Back Inn in California. There will always be a special place in our hearts for Christina Ponce whom would help for two hours a day give him a bath and his shave. Lee told her she should open up a barber shop as he never in his life had a great shave like she did. Lee really enjoyed talking to her and her gentle ways she took with him. Family wants to thank Compasss Nurses who came in at the last part of his life. We especially want to thank Dr. Satpreet Gill for his wonderful caring ways of Lee over 20 some years.
There will be a Celebration of life scheduled for when his cremated remains return.
