He was preceded in passing by his father, Vernon; his mother, Genevieve; his brother Vern; his sister, Mary Beth and his great-granddaughter Adrianna.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Barbara; his daughter Dawn; his son Rick; his brother Paul and his sister Judy; his grandchildren Eric and Stephanie and 5 great-grandchildren.
Richard was a veteran of the US Navy and saw service with the Marine Corps during the Korean War as a medic. Richard worked as an educator and administrator throughout his career and he taught bible study after retirement.
Richard loved and followed the teaching of Jesus Christ. He was devoted to his family and loved his country.
