

Robert (Bob) Wolter of Sun City, Arizona, passed away on July 22, 2023. Bob was born March 28, 1932, in Williston, North Dakota. He grew up in Fargo, North Dakota, where he lived until 2001 when he became an Arizona resident after wife, Irene, the mother of their three children, passed away after 45 years of marriage. In 2008 he married Nancy Lang in Sun City, AZ.
He was the oldest of three children. He was a graduate of Fargo Central High School and North Dakota State University where he majored in Business Administration.
Bob was a member of the North Dakota Air National Guard and served in the Korean War. Later, he received a master’s degree in Hospital Administration and joined the staff at St. John’s Hospital in Fargo as Chief Financial Officer. Later, Bob became St. John’s Vice-President and then served as President for fourteen years.
He played many sports, his favorites being softball and tennis. Bob suffered from severe hearing loss. He dedicated countless hours helping others that were also impaired by a hearing disability.
Bob was an active resident of the Royal Oaks community in Sun City for several years. He enjoyed the friendship of many residents in addition to a deep appreciation of the hard-working staff.
Bob was a member of St. Clement of Rome church. He believed in Jesus Christ and claimed the promise of John 3:16, that God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Therefore, we can be rest assured that we will see Bob again one day in heaven.
Bob was predeceased by his first wife, Irene, his granddaughter, Sarah, his second wife, Nancy and his sister, Dorothy Ann. He is survived by his beloved Kathleen, his children: Thomas Wolter (Seattle), Colleen Haarer (Phoenix), Noreen Roderick (Cornville), his six precious grandchildren and his sister Bonnie Ringsrud (Phoenix).
He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
