

William (Bill) Robert Wilkening Sr., born in 1946, of New York and Arizona, passed away in 2025. His journey through life was marked by love, devotion, and an unwavering commitment to his family and country.
Preceded in death by his Father, William Wilkening (1988) his Mother, Elsie Wilkening (2009), both of New York, Brother Thomas Wilkening (1988) of New York and his Grandson Britton Wilkening (1992) of Arizona.
William cherished the memory of those who shaped him into the remarkable man he became.
William is survived by his soulmate and beloved Wife of 57 years, Twila Wilkening. Together, they built a family filled with love and resilience, raising four children—William, Kevin, Dorothy, and Kimberly. His legacy further lives on through his nine Grandchildren and four Great-Grandchildren, each a testament to the enduring love and values he instilled. Four Sisters, several nieces and nephews.
As a young man, William proudly joined the United States Air Force, serving his nation with honor and retiring with an Honorable Discharge. His dedication and service spoke volumes about his character and strength.
Beyond his professional achievements, William's greatest passion was his love for his wife, Twila. Despite facing challenges such as multiple strokes, his devotion to her remained a beacon of light for all who knew him. His unwavering focus on her well-being and happiness showcased a love so profound that it inspired everyone around him.
William embodied the perfect example of a Husband, Father, Brother and Son, earning the admiration and respect of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His absence will be deeply felt, but his love and the memories he created will be cherished forever.
May his soul find peace as his family and friends honor his incredible life and enduring legacy. He will be sorely missed and loved forever.
