Tito Garrovillas was born and raised in the Philippines, where he was a fellow doctor who specialized in radiology. He moved to the United States with his beautiful wife Rosa in 1990. Tito and Rosa were married for 38 years where they built a life together grounded in faith, family, and unconditional love. Tito's oldest daughter Lorraine along with her husband John have two children, Alana and Thomas who love their grandpa. Sabrina, the middle daughter, along with her husband Chris have two little girls, Callie and Sydney, who enjoyed hearing stories from their "Papa". Aaron, the youngest of the three, lives in New York where he frequently came to California and was able to spend quality time with his dad.
Tito and his siblings were close, getting together for birthdays, family gatherings and even just because it was Sunday. He was well respected by all his nieces and nephews who referred to him as "Tito Tiks" or "Tito Pogi" (The Handsome Uncle). He gave the gift of memories to his family, taking his family to various places from Hawaii to Yellowstone and every state in between.
His love for others was endless, his generosity was genuine, and his humble heart was pure. He was charismatic, funny, and kind. Tito loved to tell jokes, make people laugh and was always the life of the party. From backyard barbecues, annual 4th of July trips, fishing off the beach pier and Christmas talent shows, these traditions will live on because of him.
Tito was a kind, loving and a hardworking man who put everyone above himself. He lived life simply. Tito encouraged each of his children to follow their dreams, even when it was challenging, he reminded them of temporary sacrifices. Tito worked three jobs to put his children through college. He taught many life lessons to his children that will carry on with them today. He was intentional about creating memories with family and he always made others feel welcome as family and friends described. He was a loving husband who picked roses in their front yard to give to Rosa each Valentine's Day. He always volunteered to help family members when they needed advice, support, and guidance.
Although Tito is no longer physically with us, his legend lives on through his wife, children, and family. Never forgotten and forever missed.
