Seldom has a man made such a wonderful impact as our loving husband, father, grandfather and dear friend and mentor, Harold Edward Terry. Harold was born on August 21, 1931 in Gerster, Missouri and had resided in Yucaipa since 1965. He passed away peacefully last Thursday morning in the comfort of his own home.
He traveled many paths in his 80 years, from hard hat deep sea diver in the Navy to Reserve Deputy Sheriff to real estate broker to sitting on the San Bernardino County Grand Jury to Barley Green salesman, a product he credited to saving his life 40 years ago.
Always at the ready to lend a hand to family (and everyone was family to him), Harold never shied away from a challenge or new experience. Harold’s legacy lives on in his wife and best friend of 60 years, Del, his daughter Glenda Wilcox of Yucaipa, son Buz (Harold Jr.) of Redlands, daughter Julie Bridges and her husband Brad of Yucaipa, son Norman and his wife Becky of Beaumont and son Darryl & Kara of Yucaipa, as well as 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He went home to be with the Lord on April 26, 2012, and it brings comfort to know he is with Him now.
Graveside services Monday, May 7, 2012, at 11:15 a.m. at Riverside National Cemetery, staging area #2, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, California. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Navy.
Arrangements were entrusted to Weaver Hughes Mortuary, Yucaipa, California.
