Ron was born November 1, 1942, to parents Howard and Virginia Peake in Michigan. Ron spent the first part of his adolescents in Michigan until he was 14 when he moved to Whittier CA. Ron attended and graduated from California High School in 1961.
Ron proudly served his country in the United States Marines Corps. from 1961 to 1964. After his service he worked for the California Youth Authority while attending Cal State University at Fullerton. Ron took a job as a teacher with Yucaipa High School in 1970 and remained on faculty until 2004. He was often known as the history teacher that wore crazy costumes to class and flexed his muscles at the chalkboard; or the government teacher that arranged in person court visits, mock trials, and economic simulations.
Ron had a zest for life and took advantage of every opportunity afforded to him. He loved American cars, especially Cadillac’s and Corvettes and was a member of the Inland Empire Corvette Club. Ron enjoyed traveling in his motorhome and working around the house. He never missed an opportunity to play a practical joke on friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Diane Peake; Daughter Liberty Paramo and her children Jordan and Sage Paramo; Son, Ryan Peake and his children Julian and Luna Peake; Brothers Robert and Douglas Peake and numerous nieces and nephews.
