Sandra Jean Locklin

Sandie was born in Worcester, MA to Joseph and Jean (Merino) Corsi. Along with her sister Joanie, the family relocated to St. Petersburg, FL where Sandie went on to graduate from Dixie Hollins High School in 1960. In school she was a Majorette, and as a senior her class voted her “Most Humorous”.

Sandie worked as a telephone operator until her marriage to Bobby Locklin in 1964, upon which she became a Coast Guard wife. Together she and Bob raised their family on first the Atlantic and then the Pacific coasts of the country before finally settling down in Moreno Valley, CA in 1980. It was then that Sandie began a successful 30+ year career in the insurance industry.

With their kids grown, Sandie and Bob enjoyed taking long road trips in their RV and also took several cruises together over the years. In her retirement Sandie loved spending time crafting with friends, and gifted many handmade items to her family that will be treasured forever.

She is predeceased by her parents, her sister Joanie, and her husband of 48 years, Bob. She is survived by her children Troy, Tim, and Tiffany, and well as grandchildren Kelli, Cody, Cory, Victoria, Connor and Brady, and her dog Rico. She will also be missed by her nieces, cousins, and many friends. Sandie will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and one of the kindest people you could ever meet.

A memorial service will be held on January 29, 2022, 11:00 am at Weaver Hughes Mortuary located at 33629 Yucaipa Blvd., Yucaipa CA 92399.
